IS IT MARCH ALREADY???

OK...I am bad, bad, so bad about blogging. I apologize for the long delay since my last one and a lot has happened since then so I have no good excuse! We also have some very exciting news to share...Miah and Rachel will be adding grandchild number 18 to our family in late September. We are so excited about the new addition and hope Rachel will regain her "sea legs" soon;-)

February was a blur and I don't know where the time goes. Tom and I had a fun mini getaway in Tucson and we finished off the month with a wonderful visit from his sister Sandi from Independence, Mo. and brother Larry from the Baltimore area. My daughter, Amy, came down from Salt Lake City to join us too! Jen was planning to do the same but her ride from St. George fell through and she was really bummed. I think she ended up going to Vegas with some friends though, so we can't feel too sorry for her;-)

Naturally we had to make a visit to Angel Sweet for gelato and make a few other favorite stops along the way. We also got in some fun shopping and I had a great time trying on hats at the Mesa Swap Meet, which luck for me, is just down the road. The Sunday before everyone left, two of Tom's dad's sisters came for dinner. Ruthie, who lives in Sun City about an hour away from us and her older sister, Bea who is visiting her from Michigan. It was a wonderful day of catching up on family news, stories and old memories.

The weather has been unusually cold...in the low 60s which is about ten degrees below normal for this time of year in Mesa. I am constantly listening to the weather reports for better news and beginning tomorrow it is shooting back up to the 70s! I am really excited for that. I must say though, my blue hibiscus has been budding like crazy and is absolutely beautiful!

I am also excited for a trip to Dallas to see Mike, Lisa and the 6 Cs on Saturday. It is their spring break and so we will have a fun filled week together. Wow, I can't believe it has been a year since we were last there.

As for books, I have recently finished two good ones...Half Broke Horses by Jeannette Walls and The House At Sugar Beach by Helene Cooper. Theses are both great reading. I am currently reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown which is also a page turner.

Well, that brings me up to date until I return from Dallas a week from this Saturday with more pictures to share. Have a great spring break and wishing you some warmer weather as well.
